If you are having troubles pairing/connecting your power meter to a 3rd party device or app via either ANT+ or Bluetooth, the following suggestions should help.
-
- Replace the battery with a new one after leaving the power meter without a battery for 10 seconds, this will reset the device.
- Ensure that the new battery does not come with bitter coating, as is has been shown to cause connection issues.
Tip: Isopropyl Alcohol works to take the bitterant off the surface of the CR 2032 batteries. Put the alcohol on a paper towel, rub lightly, let it dry. - After installing the new battery in the PRECISION 3 or PRECISION 3+, you should see the LED light flash the start up light sequence.
ANT+
ANT+ supports connecting a power meter to multiples devices at the same time. You should refer to your ANT+ device instruction manual for how to pair a power meter.
Bluetooth
If you are trying to connect your power meter to the 4iiii App or any Bluetooth device, please keep in mind the following:
-
- The power meter can only be connected to one device or app at a time via Bluetooth. This includes other apps, Bluetooth cycling computers, and even the Bluetooth menu on your phone. Ensure that you have deleted the power meter from all other devices or apps prior to attempting to connect it to the 4iiii App.
- Only one power meter (one left or one dual set) can be connected to the 4iiii App at a time. If you already have a power meter connected to the 4iiii App, you will need to delete/remove it from the app prior to connecting a second power meter to the 4iiii App.
