We often hear the following statements about the left side PRECISION powermeter:
- Should the powermeter move on the crank arm?
- I can compress slightly the powermeter.
- The powermeter has play in it.
- The powermeter doesn't seem to be securely attached to the crank arm.
Don't worry, this is by design. We are continually making small adjustments/improvements to our products and have recently changed the gasket that we use for mounting the powermeter on the crank arm. The foam gasket that we use to mount the powermeter to the crank arm and seal it for waterproofing is slightly compressible, so the small movement that you have observed is normal and part of the design. It is the same gasket that is installed on all new powermeters.
