Can I upgrade my STAC Zero to a Fliiiight?
Not yet, but we plan to make this option available soon. The official release date has yet to be determined.
The Fliiiiight upgrade kit will be compatible with STAC Zero frames from April 2017 onward. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee compatibility with the original square frame from 2016-2017.
What will that involve?
You'll undo the two mounting bolts attaching your current resistance unit, and mount the new Fliiiight resistance unit to your STAC Zero frame. Then, follow steps to align the new resistance unit with your wheel.
How much will the upgrade kit cost?
To be determined.
How can I get updates on the release of the upgrade kit?
Sign up for the Triiiibe newsletter, follow 4iiii on social media, or check the website for product updates.
Why can't I add Virtual Inertia to my Halcyon with a firmware update?
Unfortunately it's not possible to implement Virtual Inertia using the Halcyon's hardware. In addition all its software upgrades, Fliiiight has upgraded hardware including a faster motor and ultra high resolution optical speed sensor.
Are there any special promotions for existing STAC Zero owners who want to skip the upgrade process and purchase the full Fliiiight trainer?
There are no special promotions at this time.
Should I use my wheel weights with Fliiiight?
No. They'll interfere with the optical speed sensor. You should get a good road feel with Virtual Inertia alone.
